What is In-Text ?

In-Text technology identifies words and expressions on a web page and connects them to additional or complimentary information (tooltip/screentip) or commercial information (advertisements). An In-Text link is generally identified by a green double underline (IAB standard for commercial use).


How do In-Text ads display (link and window)?

The In-Text ad appears as an interactive JavaScript window. The window pops up when the cursor is passed over a link identified as In-Text (with a double underline). The window disappears when the cursor is moved away from the keyword.


What can I display with In-text?

Adwit's In-Text technology can relay any type of text or graph. With In-Text you can post text ads configured with the campaign administrator (text or text + logo ads), or any 300x250 banner size (gif, jpg, png or swf).

How do use In-Text (page type and In–Text script)?

You can use In-Text on any page of your web site that contains text. However, pages with hyperlinks and images are not suitable for this technology.

To access In-Text script, go to the "My websites" section of the Adwit-express interface. Click the "Add a Website" button. On the second page of the "Add a Website" process, select "In-Text" from the "Zone type" pull-down menu. When the addition process is complete, click on the "Tag zone" link just below the name of your new zone ("MY ZONES" table). Copy / paste the In-Text script inside the body of your page.


Tips and tricks: how to get the most out of In-Text by Adwit-express

To get the most from In-Text features, use the display options suggested on the zone settings page ("Settings" link just below the name of your In-Text zone):

Tags : With inclusion or exclusion tags, you can post In-Text links exactly where you want them to appear.

Preferences : These display functions let you set the maximum number of In-Text links per page. Controlling the number of links is very useful, letting you limit the number of links on pages with minimal text or increase the number of links on longer pages such as blogs.

Colours : Use this feature to personalize links and make In-Text match the graphics standards of your site. A great way to boost your click-through rate.
